A window planter under the pond liner created a pocket filled with Fluorite; these Amazon Swords did well in that. Another planter-created pocket (upper left) was taller & kept dry for dry dirt (despite appearances, those while bits are NOT pearlite or vermiculate, which are not recommended for turtle enclosures) & growing yard grass. Unfortunately, my Mississippi mud female Roberta Spent weeks burrowed into it aestivating.A bit of Salvnia is floating on the surface. A Tetra Terrafauna Critter Terrace links the side-planter with a deeper section (mid-lower left).
