Richard Lunsford's 75 Gallon Tanks

16 of 16
75 Gallon Glass Aquarium.
Filtration: Eheim Pro II 2028.
Structure: Natural Driftwood (left & center) and Top Fin line synthetic mangrove root. Java moss is growing on the center driftwood, and sparsely on the magrove root (because I pulled a clump off; the scraggly remnents grew into another large clump later). A small terra cota pot at the rear front corner didn't work out well for growing Rotala indica. The Asian Marshwee at the right didn't take off in this tank, either, but it was a cool water tank then (with native fish species). That big piece of driftwood in the left tank rear suction cupped to the glass wtith a small piece of cork bark on top could serve as a basking platform for turtles (if a larger surface area was higher above water).
Lighting: Shop Light from Lowes with a pair of 4' fluorescent tube bulbs. This was a native fish species tank, not a turtle tank, but with a basking lamp, UV-B lighting and turning on the submersible heater it could house basking species who don't need a lot of structure to clamber around on.
